Lisa & LeeVon ~ February 16, 2013

February 16, 2013 Lisa and LeeVon were married at Villa Siena. The officiant for the ceremony was a friend of the family and walked out with the groomsmen. The groom wore a tuxedo with white shirt, vest and tie. A calla lily graced the groom’s lapel. The groomsmen also wore black tuxedos but had red ties and wore red roses in their lapels.

On the altar sat a bright bouquet of mixed red flowers. Bright as the flowers were, they did not shine as brightly as Lisa when she walked out to meet her groom. Dressed in a strapless gown with empire waist fitted to the hip and a gathered skirt, she looked stunning. Beaded detailing under the bust added a little sparkle. A simple necklace with a single pearl was the perfect compliment to the ensemble. With hair down and a headband and full-length veil, the bride was ready to meet her groom. By Lisa’s side were her bridesmaids who wore black knee-length strapless dresses with red high heels. They carried red bouquets.

During the ceremony the mothers of the bride and groom lit the unity candle with the newlyweds, symbolizing their two families coming together. The reception was filled with toasts and fond memories of Lisa and LeeVon. The best man wrote a poem for LeeVon and Lisa, which poem spoke to the couple’s love for one another and his hopes for their future. The maid of honor also gave a toast that remembered Lisa and her childhood as sisters. She told Lisa how she always looked up to her. Lisa’s father brought some smiles as he talked about Lisa’s nicknames throughout the years and how she’s grown. He proposed a toast to everlasting married life together.

All eyes were on Lisa and LeeVon as they took to the dance floor for Bryan Adams’ When You Love Someone as their first dance. Halfway through they invited the rest of their guests to join them.

The wedding cake was a three-tiered affair with white fondant frosting. Each layer was wrapped with a black fondant ribbon. Favors were truffle boxes with one white chocolate and one milk chocolate truffle. The night ended with a traditional Villa Siena sparkler farewell.
