Valeria and Ian met in high school and continued their love and friendship as the two grew into adults. They were married at Villa Siena June 8, 2013.
The bride had her mother and bridesmaids on hand to help her into her dress and put the finishing touches on her ensemble. Valeria’s wedding gown had white satin rouching on top with silver belt and tulle skirt. When went do put on her shoes, she noticed an inscription from her groom reading, Val, I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life making you the happiest girl in the world! Love, Ian.
As she walked down the aisle, accompanied by her father, she was radiant. Her bridesmaids stood by her side in black strapless chiffon dresses. They carried red roses, while the bride carried a simple white rose bouquet. After the ceremony Valeria gave her father an embroidered handkerchief that read As the first man I have ever loved, when you give me away you know I will always be your little girl. Love Valeria.
Ian was ready to become the new man in Valeria’s life. For the ceremony and reception he wore a white tuxedo jacket with black tuxedo pants, white shirt and black bowtie. The groomsmen wore traditional black tuxedos.
Because the heat can be unpredictable in Arizona, the couple decided on an indoor ceremony. A red runner lined the aisle with balls of red roses at the end of the rows of chairs. On the altar was an arrangement of red roses. As the guests were seated the excitement began to build. Then the ceremony began.
The couple performed a sand ceremony before the officiant had the guests join him in a prayer of thanks for the couple, wishing blessings for them. He advised them to “learn how to fight for each other not against each other.” He had the couple face their parents as he explained how much their parents love them and how parents always want an even better marriage for their kids.
Valeria and Ian exchanged their own personal vows. The first kiss of husband and wife was not the last one of the night. Wedding bells sat at each table and when they were rung the couple kissed.
On top of the four-tiered wedding cake sat a rubber ducky bride and groom.
When the celebration ended a signature Villa Siena sparkler farewell saw the couple off into the night.
Congratulations Valeria & Ian. May this year be the first of many wonderful years together.
