Melissa & Shawn ~ May 24, 2013

When the flowers bloom and the trees unwrap their leaves, spring fills the air. May 24, 2013 Melissa and Shawn were married in spring splendor at Villa Siena.

Sweet kisses were shared throughout the day, both during the ceremony and reception. Melissa glowed in a strapless gown with rouching and layered skirt. A beaded belt sparkled under an empire waist. Diamond earrings complimented the belt of the dress. Subtle beading along the edge of the veil created movement and shine. The bride’s hair was worn in an up-do. Melissa’s bouquet offered the fragrance of pale pink and white roses. Her bridesmaids wore dusty rose-colored dresses and carried bouquets of pink and white roses.

If it’s polite to say a groom can glow, then Shawn was glowing too. Shawn wore a black tuxedo with satin piping, a white shirt, tie and vest and a white rose in his lapel.

The ceremony was filled with a sand ceremony of tan and white sands mingling together to create a new canvas just as Melissa and Shawn’s life together is the start of a blank canvas to be filled with their love and memories.

During the reception, Melissa’s mother advised, “there’s no problem love can’t solve.” The maid of honor complimented Shawn for “being a brave man for marrying my sister. He will be a great husband to her. I hope you love for each other will always deepen and grow.” John Legend’s Stay With You marked the couple’s first dance as husband and wife.

On the tables candles in frosted candleholders with the table number the couple’s name shone. The night was filled with beautiful moments and some delicious treats including the wedding cake of vanilla and chocolate tiers finished with white fondant decoration and wrapped with purple ribbon. Favors were Indian wedding cakes.

Congratulations Melissa and Shawn. May your love stay as sweet as the day you met and may you find refuge and comfort in one another always.
