September 5, 2013 was a clear and sunny day for the wedding of Heather and Andrew. The couple’s love of the Los Angeles Dodgers determined their color scheme of royal blue and white, which perfectly matched the sky that day.
The couple originally met at a Halloween party where they were both dressed up as the main characters of the movie Grease.
For the big day, Heather wore a fitted strapless gown with satin belt. Her hair was styled in an up-do. She chose pearl and diamond drop earrings, bracelet and a pearl necklace to accent the look. Blue satin shoes added a splash of color. The bride’s bouquet was wrapped with royal blue satin ribbon with a framed picture of loved ones attached. Her bridesmaids wore knee-length royal blue satin dresses. As Heather was preparing for the ceremony, her groom sent over a note saying I can’t wait to kiss you. Her bridesmaids enticed back with signs saying Just Wait Till You See Her.
The groom and groomsmen wore black tuxedos with a royal blue tie and blue Dodger’s baseball caps. After the ceremony the wedded couple led the recessional to We Go Together from the Grease soundtrack.
Guests were seated at tables identified by significant numbers to the couple, such as 1,460, the number of days the bride and groom have been together.
Lonestar’s Amazed played for the couple’s first dance, followed by the father/daughter dance to I Loved Her First by Heartland and the mother/son song to Unanswered Prayers by Garth Brooks. Then the newlyweds created a special moment for the parents of the bride and groom by having the DJ play the same Eric Clapton song that had played during the first dance for both sets of parents weddings.
Red velvet cake was served for dessert filled with vanilla raspberry filling and vanilla frosting. Sugar roses edged in royal blue decorated the cake.
Congratulations Heather & Andrew. May the smiles that lit up your wedding day light up every day of your lives together.
