Early December marked the marriage of Sara and Jake at Villa Siena, December 7, 2013. The couple had a traditional wedding ceremony that included a sand ceremony where blue and white sands were poured together to signify the interweaving of their lives. The couple had an evening reception where the outdoor altar was lit up with candles that cast a soft glow on floral arrangements. The white runner was edged with white rose petals and candles burned at the end of each aisle of chairs.
The guest welcome table was filled with framed pictures of the couple and lit candles. A poem was the centerpiece of the table and ended with the line ‘love never fails.’
Sara wore a fitted dress with mermaid flair with a crystal belt that wrapped the waist. Lace edged the bust of the dress and fitted down to just above the knee where silk finished the skirt and was edged with lace at the bottom. Sara’s veil was also finished in lace. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses, with a few pink flowers sprinkled in. The bridesmaids had smaller bouquets of white roses and wore twilight blue strapless dresses.
Jake chose a classic look with a black tuxedo with bowtie and white flower in his lapel. The groomsmen also wore back tuxedos with vests and bowties.
For the reception, centerpieces were tiered vases filled with flowers submerged in water with candles floating on top. A three-tiered cake created a soft, summer feel with floral decorations and hearts embossed in frosting.
Favors were antique keys set in boxes with a note saying ‘Thank you for being a “key” part of our wedding.
Congratulations Sara and Jake. May you be the keys to one another’s to happiness, strength and beauty in the years to come. We wish you the best.
