October 26, 2013 brought Katy and David together for their wedding ceremony and reception. The couple brought some spice to the day with personalized details that added a lively energy to the celebration.
Katy was a beautiful bride in a strapless gown with empire waist and belt. Her mermaid-style dress included a subtle ruffling effect with floral detailing. Katy wore her hair pulled back from her face with a veil attached. The bridal bouquet brought together purple orchids and white calla lilies. For fun, the bridesmaids brought a splash of brightness with turquoise dresses, each top in a different style. For the occasion David and his groomsmen wore black tuxedos with blue ties. Each wore a calla lily in his lapel.
A singular floral arrangement adorned the altar. As the bride and groom began the recessional guests blew bubbles to mark their union.
After the ceremony Katy and her bridesmaids donned different styles of glasses with bows on them. Instead of the traditional guest sign-in book the couple chose a puzzle. Guests signed the pieces. What a fun way to bring together all the pieces and people of our lives.
The newlyweds chose a traditional first dance to the aptly named Our First Dance wedding song. The mother/son song was Forever You while the father daughter was I Will Love You Always.
Speeches were given by friends and family. After the fun, a four-tiered wedding cake with cherry blossom branches reaching up the cake was served. Fueled up with cake, a techno hour commenced before the end of the night.
Favors were bride and groom boxes with candy inside.
Congratulations Katy and David. May your personal style and exuberance for life always remain a part of your lives together. We wish you the best.
