Lauren & Marcus ~ February 15, 2014

lauren+marcusromance-7

The story of Lauren and Marcus lets us believe again in love at first sight. The couple was introduced at Marcus’s house. Afterwards they went out to a bar with a group of friends where they spent the night talking and eventually exchanging numbers. The rest, as they say, is history. They were wed as February 15, 2014.

For the occasion, flower arrangements adorned the altar while bright yellow, purple and pink flower petals were sprinkled along the edges of a white runner. The ends of rows of chairs were flourished with bouquets of yellow and orange flowers tied with purple ribbon.

Lauren was a beautiful, blushing bride, wearing a wedding gown fitted to the waist with a single strap of flowers over one shoulder and across the upper edge of the dress. Her hair was worn in an up-do with a diamond fascinator. Under her dress a pair of simple satin shoes lent a classic feel to the look. To bring a bright pop of color to the event, bouquets mixed bright yellow, pink and purple flowers and included gerbera daisies, roses, calla lilies and more. The bridesmaids also carried bouquets of similar arrangements. Lauren’s bridesmaids wore knee-length purple dresses that were loose and flowing with single shoulder straps and belted waists. Marcus wore a grey tuxedo with white shirt, tie and vest, bringing a light, airy feel to the ceremony. His groomsmen also wore grey tuxedos but theirs were finished with purple vests and ties.

In high school, the groom and best man promised they would be each other’s best man in the future. They fulfilled that promise at Villa Siena.s

As for the wedding cake, three tiers showcased vanilla with Bavarian cream and strawberries as well as pink champagne with chocolate mousse and chocolate with chocolate mousse. The cake was decorated with pearl dots throughout and a string of pearl dots wrapping each layer. Fresh flowers served as a topper.

While the first dance was a traditional dance to Michael Buble’s Hold On, the couple livened things up with glow wands and big foam glow sticks that guests wore during the dancing. Instead of a signature sparkler farewell, guests shook purple pom-poms to bid the couple farewell.

Congratulations Lauren and Marcus. May your lives together celebrate your individuality as well as the beauty that comes from being together. We wish you the best.
