Sharmaine and William met in high school and after many years together married March 10, 2014. For their day of celebration, Sharmaine wore a fitted wedding gown with mermaid flair. The lace top included wide straps and a silk belt, while the skirt of the dress was overlaid in lace that flowed out into a train. Her bridal bouquet included white and sunrise orange flowers with baby’s breath. The bridesmaids wore dusty rose chiffon gowns with empire waists. William wore a grey vest with white shirt and tie, handkerchief and boutonnière. The groomsmen wore grey tuxedos with dusty rose ties and white shirts.

During the ceremony the groom’s brother played the piano. Both her mother and her father walked Sharmaine down the aisle to meet her groom. When the groom saw his bride, his jaw literally dropped. What a beautiful moment.

The ceremony followed Filipino tradition with a veil ceremony and cord ceremony. For the veil ceremony, a veil is draped over the bride and groom to remind them that Christ covers them in love. A cord is then twisted into a figure 8 and placed over their heads to symbolize the infinite nature of their marriage. The couple also performed a unity tree ceremony in which the bride and groom poured water onto a tree to watch their love grow. Lastly, the mother of the groom sang a mother’s prayer.

The reception table included a sign-in book and photos of the couple and their loved ones. A huge silver frame enclosed the seating chart, which included lace between each table list. Tablecloths were pink. Lace hung over the chairs and tall standing floral arrangements with hydrangeas brightened up each table. The newlyweds had a couple’s table for the reception. Kids were not forgotten with special activity books made especially for the occasion.

The cake was four tiers decorated with fresh flowers. Two tiers were chocolate cake with strawberry fruit filling and vanilla buttercream icing. The other two tiers were red velvet cake with cream cheese flavored buttercream filling.

The couple’s first dance was to Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years, followed by the father/daughter dance to Daughters by John Mayer and the mother/son dance to My Wish by Rascal Flatts.

Guests took home matches with the couple’s name and date on them as favors.

Congratulations. We hope your marriage is filled with sparks and the bright flame of love. We wish you the best.
