March 1st, 2014 brought spring showers to Villa Siena, but a few sprinkles of rain couldn’t dampen the bright spirits at the Villa that day. Jessica’s smile brighter than the sun and her love and laughter filled each moment of the day. Her groom, Michael mirrored the spark of her emotions.
The wedded couple originally met in pharmaceutical school. A tight group of friends formed during their schooling and both the best man and maid of honor were friends made during their time at school.
On her wedding day, Jessica wore a strapless gown with beaded belt underlining an empire waist. The dress was fitted to the waist then finished in a full skirt. The bride wore her hair up with diamond earrings, a feather fascinator and a veil as accents. A bouquet of pink and white roses was carried. Her bridesmaids wore pink knee-length strapless dresses and also carried pink and white rose bouquets. Michael chose a grey tuxedo with piping and a white shirt and tie for his wedding day. His groomsmen also wore grey tuxedos with pink ties and white roses in their lapels.
The couple celebrated with an indoor ceremony. Pink and white petals lined the aisle while candles burned on the altar and a fire warmed the day. A sand ceremony was performed along with a traditional ceremony. Prior to the wedding, the couple had written out reasons they loved one another, which the officiant read during the ceremony.
Afterwards guests were invited to try the couple’s signature drink; a dragonberry mojito. Who could resist?
Tables were embellished with bouquets of pink roses and hydrangeas and grey tablecloths. The couple’s name and date of marriage shone on the wall, while the couple enjoyed a private dining table edged with urns of flowers.
The first dance for the newlyweds was Everything by Michael Buble.
A three-tiered wedding cake alternated two tiers with a curlicue design with a middle layer done in a silver design. Each tier was wrapped with diamond ribbon and garnished with fresh pink roses. Guests fulfilled their sweetest cravings with a candy table decked out with pink and white candies and cookies.
Congratulations Jessica and Michael. May the chemistry that sparked in pharmaceutical school continue to wrap you in warmth throughout your lives together. We wish you the best.
