Lauren & Andy ~ April 12, 2014

Lauren and Andy SP14

As the dawn cast her gentle light across the world on April 12, 2014, Lauren and Andy readied themselves for marriage. The couple met at a church group. Since that first meeting, their love and faith grew as their lives became more and more entwined in one another. For their wedding, they chose a morning wedding followed by brunch instead of the more traditional afternoon or evening ceremony.

Lauren’s dress offered a stunning silhouette with a strapless corseted-style beaded bodice that flowed into a layered skirt. The bride’s hair was braided into a half up-do with veil. Her bouquet brought together roses, ivy, snapdragons and more and was wrapped with a pink silk ribbon, lace and finished with a cameo surrounded with diamonds. Lauren’s bridesmaids wore dusty pink dresses in different styles. Andy wore a black tuxedo with dotted tie while his groomsmen were fit to match.

For the exchanging of vows, the altar they stood before was dressed as eloquently as the couple with an extravagant bouquet of flowers and candles.

During the reception a live band played. The tea party themed brunch included a wedding crossword and Mad Libs for their guests to fill out with personalized pencils that were provided. Guests were also given little boxes that said Have a treat and take your seat.

The couple’s first dance was to Tonight by JJ Heller. Afterwards the father and stepfather of the bride gave toasts. The bride’s father joked that those who are married live longer because being married makes it feel longer.

The wedding cake combined four layers of pink and white layers with the bottom layer mimicking ruffled roses, the third layer painted pink with white flowers, a second layer of gold foil frosting and the top layer finished with a tea cup and fresh flowers.

Before the bride and groom departed for their new life together, the bride changed into a pink dress with ruffled skirt. Guests shook sticks with pink and green ribbons and a bell on the end.

Congratulations Lauren and Andy. May your faith and love for one another continue to blossom with each passing year. We wish you the best.
