Katie and David were married at the LDS Temple on July 24th, 2014. To allow their family and friends to witness their union, the couple also held a ring ceremony at Villa Siena. The Chianciano room was sprinkled with white flower petals leading Katie to her groom. Katie’s father proudly walked her down the aisle.
The bride wore a sleeveless lace gown with a high V-neck and covered buttons down the back. The dress was fitted to below the hips, where a layer of sheer lace swept away from the gown in a train. Katie wore her hair in stylish up-do with blue earrings. Her bouquet was abundant with white roses and baby’s breath. By her side, her bridesmaids wore turquoise knee-length dresses with short sleeves. David met his bride in a suit with blue tie, a classic look.
Guests were invited to fill out a wedding version of Mad Libs, called Wed Libs as they arrived for the celebration. The reception was ‘Come & Go’ style, meaning there was no formal sit-down dinner. However, each table was decorated with vases of flowers and different framed pictures of the couple.
The couple did have a traditional first dance to Latch by Sam Smith.
After the first dance, the couple cut their wedding cake. The two-tiered cake had ruffled layers with a blue fondant flower on top.
The evening ended with a signature Villa Siena sparkler farewell where guests offered their final good-byes before the couple started off on their new life together.
Congratulations Katie and David. May your lives together be filled with sunshine and smiles. We wish you the best.
