September 13, 2014 marks the date of Anna’s marriage to Steven at Villa Siena. Guests were welcomed to the villa with a reception table adorned with pictures of the couple and those important to them. On a stand next to the table was a poster of the couple’s name surrounded by hearts.
As guests were seated, they faced the altar, which was decorated with fishbowl vases filled with roses and long grasses swirled around the roses. Candles added a soft glow. To mark the start of the wedding the ring bearer carried a sign down the aisle saying, “Uncle Steven, here comes your bride.”
Anna was a picture perfect bride in a blush colored gown with sweetheart neckline and mermaid flair. The gown was overlaid with lace and chiffon detailing and laced up the back while the veil added a subtle accent with floral embroidery along the edges. Underneath the gown ballet flats with crystals offered comfort and a little sparkle. The bridal bouquet combined light blush and pink roses, calla lilies and spider mums. The bride’s hair was worn down with only a few strands pulled back to show off the bride’s smile. Anna’s bridesmaids brought a bright note to the ceremony with hot pink dresses of chiffon with a single shoulder strap and to-the-knee skirts. Steven chose a traditional black tuxedo with black bowtie and vest and a white shirt. His groomsmen were also in black tuxedos with ties.
Wedding days are often counted among the happiest of a couple’s life, but the day can also be filled with overwhelming emotion, such as the moment Anna saw her groom and tears sprung to her eyes. During the ceremony the couple remembered lost loved ones who could not attend.
During the reception, speeches included the best man expressing his happiness for the newlyweds and wishing them a happy marriage. The maid of honor kept her speech short and sweet, congratulating the couple.
The wedding cake was a three-tier cake with decorative pearl beads and soft pink flowers. Vanilla custard, strawberries and cream cheese were covered with buttercream frosting. The couple’s last name and date of wedding was displayed in a black cake topper. As the evening wound down, Anna and Steven said farewells under an arch of sparklers.
Congratulations Anna and Steven. May the love that bound you together be nurtured and grow each and every day. We wish you the best.
