Samin & Shahab ~ December 21, 2014

14

Just a few days from the New Year, December 21, 2014, Samin and Shahab were married. The bridesmaids donned their gowns in a private room as the groom and his groomsmen dressed for the upcoming wedding. The groom wore a black tuxedo with white shirt and black bowtie. His groomsmen also wore black tuxedos but with purple striped ties to match the bridesmaids’ dresses, which were full-length gowns of purple with crystal beading accents. The bride stood out in a gown that was fitted to the hips before finishing in layers of ruffles. A tiara, fit for a queen, and a veil were worn over the bride’s up-do.

As guests arrived they were treated to a display of framed pictures of the couple throughout their lives. When the wedding began, the couple was joined together with a Persian prayer and ceremony. Many guests spoke during the ceremony. With their lives together just beginning, the couple left out an advice box for friends to offer words of wisdom on small wooden hearts.

For the reception tables were set with purple runners and purple and white tall standing floral arrangements. Dinner consisted of a Persian food buffet from the restaurant Persian Room. After dinner a traditional wedding cake was served with four tiers decorated with purple details and purple and white ribbon. A chocolate fountain offered a little extra sweetness for guests.

As the couple danced their first dance to a Persian song, purple Karma up-lighting set the mood, as did the bride and groom’s name shining on the wall. A friend of the bride and groom was the DJ for the night.

Favors were mini-bouquets of pearls and beads made by the bride.  Congratulations Samin and Shahab. May your wedding day mark the day a seed of love was planted that will bloom throughout your lives together. We wish you the best!
