When Andrew was invited to an end of the year party for Chandler High where he was teaching, he had no idea he would meet his future wife. Ashley’s mother introduced the couple. They married May 29, 2015.
On her wedding day Ashley wore an Allure Bridal mermaid fitted gown with lace and a beaded belt that turned into a satin bow flowing down the back of the gown. Her hair was worn in an up-do with a cathedral length veil with scalloped edging. The bride carried a bouquet of pale pink roses wrapped in satin ribbon with miniature pictures of loved ones attached. Andrew was a dapper groom in a tan tuxedo with tan vest, pale pink shirt and pink tie with tan Converse sneakers to finish the look.
The couple chose an indoor wedding ceremony with flower petals lining the aisle and floating candles. The bride’s brother walked her down the aisle. The couple’s siblings presented the rings. During the ceremony, the groom said that when he sees Ashley with her son he loves her more and more. As part of unifying their lives, they performed a sand ceremony with bottles wrapped in burlap with hearts on them. They also exchanged personalized vows.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds made their grand entrance to Bring ‘em Out. Then the entire bridal party slow danced to Amazed by Lonestar. The wall of the reception room, the Firenze Room, was lit with the couple’s name and date of marriage on the wall. Table numbers were in gold glitter on the tables.
For the couple’s first dance Andrew and Ashley chose Cowboys and Angels by Dustin Lynch. The mother & son dance was to Rascal Flatts.
During the speeches, the father of the bride talked of combining families and offered marital advice. The bond between father and daughter was clear when the two danced to a mash-up that included the songs Butterfly Kisses and This Is How We Do it, Cant Touch This, Teach Me How to Dougie and Stuck Like Glue.
A three-tiered wedding cake with cream fondant and white lace overlay was served to guests as a sweet treat. The cake was cut with a personalized cake cutter with an enameled handle and crystal butterfly on it.
The last dance of the night was Don’t Stop Believing. Congratulations Ashley and Andrew. Please don’t stop believing in each other’s love. We wish you the best.
