Jordan and Kura originally met at work and married June 20, 2015 at Villa Siena. Guests were given delicate wooden fans to keep cool during the ceremony. After her mother and father walked Jordan down the aisle, the couple’s ceremony was filled with insightful advice given by the officiant. “You marry yourself,” he said. And “A good marriage must be created. Love is the creator of many things, not only finding the right partner but becoming the right partner.” The officiant also spoke of how the couple complimented one another.
For her wedding Kura wore a Christian Michele wedding gown. The fitted dress was lace with a sheer panel across a sweetheart neckline and a train with scalloped edging. Kura wore her hair in a partial up-do and carried a bouquet of coral gerbera daisies and pink, blush and yellow roses. Her bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet. Their dresses alternated coral and pale blue. The bride’s close male friend also walked on her side of the wedding party and wore a light grey tuxedo with white shirt and vest and carried a bouquet. The groom, Jordan, was dressed in a dark grey tuxedo with coral tie, white shirt and coral rose in the lapel. His happiness was undeniable. The groomsmen were in light grey tuxedos with pale yellow ties and white shirts.
After the ceremony, the couple’s first dance as a married couple was also the very first time they had ever danced together. Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud marked the occasion.
During speeches, the best man talked of being friends with the groom for ten years and during that time he has seen Jordan grow from a boy to a man. The bride’s sisters sang an acapella version of Brothers. To remember the night, a photobooth was set up for guests to have a little fun.
A ruffled three-tiered almond cake with almond butter filling was served for dessert. The frosting faded from coral on the bottom tier to pale pink and finally soft pink on the top tier. Favors were wine stoppers and wine glass charms. Congratulations Kura and Jordan. May this be the beginning of a beautiful life together. We wish you the best.
