July 11, 2015 a love story was read before Valerie walked down the aisle to wed her groom and first and only love. The couple met during their years at Sunrise Mountain High School and worked together at Safeway.

For her wedding, Valerie wore a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and A-line skirt. The bodice of the gown sparkled with beaded detailing. A headband attached the veil to her partial up-do. Her bridal bouquet was filled with hot pink, pale pink and white roses and assorted flowers. The groom wore a grey tuxedo with piping, a grey vest and striped tie. Jordan’s groomsmen also wore grey tuxedos with grey vests. Two of his groomsmen wore grey ties while the other two wore hot pink ties to match the bridesmaids’ dresses.

During the ceremony the officiant explained the symbolism of the wedding ring, the uniqueness of each ring and how each ring represents the uniqueness of the individual. The couple also lit a unity candle as part of their ceremony.

As the reception got started the couple danced their first dance to Keith Urban’s Making Memories of Us followed by the father & daughter dance to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw and the mother & son dance to Perfect Fan by the Backstreet Boys.

Speeches included the maid of honor, the bride’s sister, talking about Valerie’s personality and her drive while the best man offered a few tips for a successful marriage: stop leaving the toilet seat up and watermelon vodka is never a good choice.

Sweet treats for the night included a Subzero ice cream table and the three-tiered wedding cake. Piping decorated the top and bottom tiers while a quilted pintucked pattern embellished the middle tier. For a cake topper two crystal hearts rested on one another.
