Alexis and Dalton met through mutual friends, and eventually met at the alter on Saturday, February 27, 2016.
Alexis donned a slender, lace-textured Allure Romance wedding gown with short sleeves and a mermaid hem. Alexis’ sheer veil was pinned in her spiraling brown hair, and she held a bouquet of deep red roses and snapdragons. Her five bridesmaids clutched the same bouquets, and modeled floor-length gray gowns pinned to one shoulder.
Dalton and his five groomsmen all wore solid black suits accompanied by white shirts and white pocket squares. The groom sported a black bowtie, while groomsmen wore black neckties. A red snapdragon ornamented Dalton’s lapel, while the groomsmen wore red roses on their jackets.
The outdoor ceremony was dotted with red rose petals, and was officiated by Laney Smith in front of the fireplace.
A plated dinner followed, consisting of salad, and grilled chicken breast filled with posciutto and provolone cheese with a lemon beurre blanc sauce – plus beef wellington, twice baked potatoes, and green beans with almond slivers. Each table was adorned with a tall centerpiece of red roses and white hydrangeas.
The three-tiered wedding cake came with a dark ribbon at the bottom of each base, and decorated with silver detailed piping. An elegant, bedazzled “Mr & Mrs” cake topper completed the dessert.
The Maid of Honor, Alexis’ younger sister, the Best Man, Dalton’s older brother – plus the fathers of both the bride and groom – gave sincere toasts during the reception.
Alexis and Dalton’s first dance was to “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles. The Father/Daughter Dance was to “Brown Eyed Girl” by Van Morrison, and the Mother/Son Dance was to “It Happens In A Heartbeat.”
Best wishes to Alexis and Dalton and their new life together.
