Alexis and Derek were married on Thursday, September 22, 2016, with a festive black, white, and red colored wedding.
Alexis donned a sleeveless wedding gown with a textured bodice and jewel neckline, and kept her hair down for all the festivities. She held a posy-tied bouquet of classic red roses, as did her two bridesmaids. The bridesmaid wore sleeveless, tea-length dresses in elegant black.
Derek sported a black suit and dress shirt, accented with a red vest, bowtie, and pocket square. A simple red rose adorned the lapel of his jacket. His two groomsmen matched his attire – black suits with red vests, bow ties, pocket squares, and ornamental roses.
Alexis and Derek’s outdoor ceremony was held at the end of a plush white carpet strewn with red rose petals. The Flower Girl kicked things off while wearing a little white dress, belted with a black ribbon, and completed with a black bow in her curly blonde hair. The ceremony itself can be recalled as “short and simple.”
Dinner was served atop black tablecloths decorated with red rose petals. The meal started with Caesar salads and bruschetta, followed by chicken alfredo and baked ziti. A vanilla and chocolate-flavored wedding cake came in three tiers – one white, one red, and one black. The middle layer featured a large “R” for Reischmann, while the topper was a little black banner that read “Love” – each letter written on a little black heart.
Alexis and Derek’s First Dance was to Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years.” The reception area also featured a large frame with photos of the couple starting off as children, and the timeline of images lead through the years, all the way until they met.
Alexis and Derek left their wedding under a hail of rose petals, and we wish them all the happiness in the world.
