While love was the focus of Alison and Brandon’s wedding day November 15, 2014, the Green Bay Packers were also present through many of the small details of the day. Brandon’s love of the Packers was clear as he wore Green Bay Packer socks. What he didn’t know was that Alison had a few surprises for him, including a green and gold garter and a wedding cake topper with personalized figures of the bride and groom with a cheesehead on the groom. Even the table numbers were chosen after Green Bay Packers’ players and a Green Bay pen was used to sign the marriage license.

The couple originally met through Brandon’s roommate who took Alison to watch Brandon’s band perform. The couple made a connection and the rest was history.

For her wedding day, the bride was picture perfect in a dress from David’s bridal with a fitted beaded bodice and full tulle skirt. Caplet sleeves and an open back revealed the bride’s tattoo. Alison chose a bouquet of red and orange roses and peonies. Her bridesmaids toasted before the ceremony with wine glasses with bridesmaids’ dresses on them and the bridesmaids’ name. While the bridesmaids wore dresses of teal, two styles of dress were split between the four bridesmaids. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with black vests and teal ties while the groom chose a black tuxedo with white vest, white shirt and tie. Each of Brandon’s groomsmen received an engraved flask. During the wedding ceremony a friend read a passage about what marriage is. The pastor for the ceremony was the same pastor the bride grew up with. Then black and white sand were poured into a glass box with two entwined hearts and the couple’s names and date of marriage on them.

During the speeches the best man talked about the similarities between the two including how they both married a redhead. The best man finished his speech with a ‘team drink,’ and a cheers to the couple. The maid of honor spoke of how she felt she had known Ali all her life and could always count on Ali to be there for her. Then Alison’s father got more than a few laughs when he told the guests his daughter got smarter after a surgery where she got a pint of his blood.

The first dance was to Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat and was followed by Stealing Cinderella as the father and daughter dance.

Dancing was followed by food and cake including a four-tier white fondant cake with square tiers alternating with round tiers. Instead of traditional favors the couple donated money in each guest’s name. Congratulations Alison and Brandon. Love, like the Green Bay Packers’ successes depends on dedication, understanding and passion. We wish you the best.
