The first time Allie and Michael met, it was at a wedding—they were a bridesmaid and a groomsman. But on August 30, 2019, they saw each other at the altar in different roles: bride and groom.
Allie looked beautiful in an off-the-shoulder fit-and-flare lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and a train. She accessorized with drop earrings and a hip-length veil. She carried a large bouquet of white flowers accented with different kinds of greenery. Her five bridesmaids wore coordinating full-length light blue dresses, and carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Michael got married in a dark blue suit with a subtly patterned blue blazer, white shirt, light blue tie, and white flower boutonniere. His five groomsmen wore dark blue suits with white shirts, light blue ties, and white flower boutonnieres.
The couple had an indoor wedding, and Allie met her groom at the altar after a walk down an aisle lined with white flower petals and white candles in jars. Michael was called “a compassionate soul who puts everyone above himself,” and Allie was describe as “devoted, passionate, and beautiful.” They performed a cord ceremony to symbolize their new union and the place God will hold in their marriage.
Next, guests signed hearts to go into a keepsake piece for the newlyweds, then enjoyed a meal of plated salad with a buffet that included green beans, potatoes with cheese and bacon, chicken, and meat with carrots. There was also a doughnut wall.
In the speeches, Michael’s father gave him some tips on how to be successful in marriage. Allie’s father told stories from her childhood, and said that hard times in the past shaped her into who she was today.
The couple’s first dance as man and wife was to “Yours” by Russell Dickerson. Allie and her father started off their dance to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw, which then transitioned to “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-A-Lot.
The four-tier cake was done in white frosting and had a semi-naked look. It was adorned with white roses.
Michael and Allie left their wedding under the signature sparkler send-off.
We wish all the best for this beautiful couple!
