When Alyssa moved to Chicago to attend nursing school, she signed up for a softball team where she met the love of her life, Scott. The couple wed April 17, 2015. A guest book welcomed friends and family to the Villa with Mr. heart Mrs. Flags and framed pictures of the couple’s loved ones. A framed heart showcased pictures of the couple. On the altar was a combination of blue, yellow and white flowers, while yellow and white rose petals floated in the fountain.
To announce the beginning of the ceremony, a young girl took up the violin ad played. Alyssa wore a Sottero and Midgley gown with a plunging neckline, lace overlay and crystal belt. Her bouquet brought together a seafoam blue, white and yellow arrangement of flowers. Her bridesmaids were in light blue gowns with rouching across the top. The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet. The groom wore a grey tuxedo with a white shirt, vest and plaid tie. He also wore yellow, green and blue argyle socks. During the ceremony the couple poured yellow and blue sand into a container to integrate their two lives. Paul’s definition of love was read from the bible.
The best man and older brother of the groom praised Alyssa for being smart, patient and a perfect fit for the family. The maid of honor, who met the bride at ASU freshman year said, Scott, you make Alyssa so happy.”
The couple set up an Instagram hashtag for guests to post their pictures. The wedding party sat together during the reception with the couple’s name and date of marriage hung in flags from the table. The bride and groom drank out of engraved champagne flutes for the toasts.
The wedding cake was a 4-tier blue fondant carrot cake with raised white lace flowers and a yellow bow on the 2nd tier. A Mr. & Mrs. Sign served as the cake topper. Congratulations Alyssa and Scott. May your vibrancy and sheer happiness continue throughout your lives together. We wish you the best.
