Jake first spotted Amanda when she was walking to the mailbox, and later found out she was actually his neighbor. They were married on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
Amanda wore a lace-textured, sweetheart-cut wedding gown with a trumpet hem and a fingertip veil. She wore Badgley Mischka strap heels, and held a posy-tied bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas. Her three bridesmaids wore semi-sweetheart, deep navy sheath gowns with bouquets of white hydrangeas.
Jake sported a black suit with a satin navy vest and bowtie complete with a white dress shirt and pocket square. His three groomsmen wore black suits with navy neckties and pocket squares.
The outdoor ceremony was held at the end of a white carpet adorned in white rose petals. The ceremony covered the unity between the couple, and gave the original definition of love from the Bible.
Diner started with Caesar salads, followed by grilled chicken with potatoes and green beans. The three-tiered, round wedding cake was completely covered in white frosted roses. A bedazzled cake topper crowned the dessert.
During toasts, the Father of the Bride told Amanda how much he loved her, and wished them a happy life together. The Brother of the Groom talked about how they grew up on a farm together. The Maid of Honor talked about how they are a very happy couple, and how they also liked to share memes about marriage with each other before they were even engaged.
Amanda and Jake’s First Dance was to “From the Ground Up” by Dan + Shay. The Father/Daughter Dance was to “Daddy’s Little Angel” by T Carter, and the Mother/Son Dance was to “Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole.
Guests were asked to share their memories on social media with the hashtag #gladlyglodeks.
We wish all the best to Amanda and Jake.
