Amanda and John were married on September 30, 2017.
Amanda chose a gorgeous fit-and-flare lace gown with spaghetti straps and a deep V-neckline and back. She accessorized with strappy silver heels, crystal drop earrings, and a hip-length veil. Her bouquet included roses and dahlias in shades of red and white, along with eucalyptus accents. Her maid of honor wore a full-length, light pink sleeveless dress with a embellished floral overlay on the skirt. Her three other bridesmaids wore coordinating full-length, wine-colored dresses in a variety of necklines. Her bridesman wore a blue suit with a black tie and red rose boutonniere. The ladies of the bridal party carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
John wore a gray suit with a white tie, white pocket square, and red rose boutonniere. His best man wore a gray suit with a white tie, white pocket square, and white rose boutonniere. His three other groomsmen wore gray suits with wine-colored ties, white pocket squares, and red rose boutonnieres.
During the ceremony, Amanda and John talked about how they have helped each other overcome challenges and grow into the people they are today. They also place a bottle of wine and special wine glasses in a box to be opened on their anniversary.
At the reception, guests enjoyed a meal of classic Caesar salad with house-made dressing; beef tenderloin with cognac cream cheese sauce and horseradish aioli; and chicken breast with prosciutto and provolone cheese. There was also a coffee bar.
In the speeches, the best man shared how he always looked up to John, and complimented him on his intelligence and athleticism. The maid of honor performed a rap she wrote for the couple. Amanda’s father talked about how honored he is to be her father, and how proud her late mother would be of her if she were at the wedding.
Amanda and John shared their first dance as a married couple to “Mean to Me” by Brett Eldredge. John and his mother and Amanda and her father also shared special dances.
The three-tier, all-white wedding cake featured a brushed frosting design, was decorated with flowers, and was topped with a custom topper bearing the couple’s last name.
We wish John and Amanda a long and joyful life together!
