Amanda & Tanner ~ October 10, 2015

Fall-Wedding-Maroon-Orange (39)

Amanda and Tanner met at ASU when Amanda was a junior and Tanner was a sophomore. After college the couple both went abroad without each other and were apart for nearly two years. When they got back together, the spark was still there and the couple married October 10, 2015.

For the ceremony, the altar was decorated with an autumn arrangement including miniature pumpkins and red, orange and yellow leaves and berries with three ivory candles burning. The bride’s mother, who was glowing, walked her daughter down the aisle.

Amanda wore a gown from Allure Bridal. Her lace gown was tied with a silk sash at the waist and Amanda chose a lace cathedral-length veil with edging to wear with it. Her hair was worn in an up-do with a pearl necklace to accentuate her neck. She carried an autumn bouquet of assorted flowers in rich fall colors. Under her dress was a pair of red satin shoes, which matched her bridesmaid’s dresses of red lace. The groom wore a black tuxedo with black vest, white shirt and black bowtie. His groomsmen were in light grey tuxedos with white shirts and red ties.

The couple was married by Tanner’s best man who brought the bridal party into the ceremony through quotes and through mentions of Tanner’s fraternity. The couple wrote and read their own vows and lit a unity candle. At the end of the recessional, the newlyweds stopped to take a selfie.

At the reception tree centerpieces with hanging candles welcomed guests and each place had notes for guests to write and put in a box for the couple to read. There was also a time capsule guest book. The bride and groom drank out of Mr. & Mrs. glasses.

The wedding cake, served for dessert, was four tiers of pumpkin spice and vanilla cakes. Two layers were decorated with a ruffle detail and two had polk-a-dot details. Maroon roses adorned the cake and a LOVE cake topper stood on top.

Speeches included the maid of honor expressing how she had never seen Amanda happier and the father of the groom welcoming Amanda to the family. The sister of the groom recounted how the first time the family met Amanda they were all wearing mustaches.

Music for the first dance came as a surprise for the bride as the groom had written and recorded a song that was played along with a surprise video. The night ended with a signature Villa Siena sparkler farewell. Congratulations Amanda and Tanner. May your days be bright and your hearts be light. We wish you the best.
