Amber & Jeff ~ January 23, 2015

Amber was walked down the aisle by her father, January 23, 2015, to marry her love. She wore a strapless David’s Bridal gown with lace overlay and a crystal belt. Underneath the dress a pair of strappy, glittery shoes poked out. Amber’s hair was curled in a half up-do finished with a veil with lace edging. For the bridal bouquet, blush roses were wrapped in silver ribbon. At her side were her bridesmaids in mint knee-length dresses with empire waists. Each bridesmaid carried a bouquet of pink hydrangeas.

When the family dog is so much more than a dog, he or she deserves a place in the wedding party. This was the case for Amber’s dog who acted was dressed in a black tuxedo and acted as ring bearer for the ceremony. Jeff, too, was dressed in a black tuxedo, although he was slightly more handsome than the dog, as were his groomsmen. Silver ties accented the men’s look.

During the ceremony, a moment of silence was held for those who could not attend and a special thanks was given out to Amber and Jeff’s parents for all they have done for their children throughout the years. Bringing the couple’s two lives together as one, a sand ceremony was performed. After the ceremony, husband and wife entered the reception through a tunnel of sparklers.

Speeches during the reception included wise advice from the maid of honor that “the wife is always right,” along with the father of the bride reminding Amber and Jeff to always laugh at the crazy stuff. For the toasts, the couple drank out of engraved champagne flutes. A little fun was added to the reception with a couple’s kissing game.

The newlywed’s first dance was to Steady As We Go by Dave Matthews followed by the father & daughter dance to Have I Told You Lately by Van Morrison and the mother & son dance to Simple Man.

After dancing, dessert of a three-tiered wedding cake was served. The cake had white fondant with mint ribbon on the top and bottom tiers. The middle tier sparkled with crystal detailing while a diamond encrusted C topped the cake with fresh flowers.

Favors were heart shaped ‘seed paper.’ The night ended with sparklers held in an arch for the newlyweds to walk through. Congratulations Amber and Jeff. May your wedding day only be the first of many unforgettable days together.
