In preparation for her wedding May 9, 2015, the bride’s mother-in-law took her to Kleinfeld Bridal to buy her dress. The mood on Ashley and Jon’s wedding day was celebratory as the bridesmaids gathered around Ashley with laughter, love and a shot of tequila before the ceremony. Jon and his friends were just as energized. To bring a calm and tranquil mood to the ceremony a harpist played as Jon made his way towards the altar, which was decorated with a floral arrangement showcasing hyacinths and candles on either side.
Ashley was a stunning bride in a gown with lace bodice that turned sheer at the neckline. A beaded belt added a bit of sparkle. Covered buttons detailed the back of the dress, which finished in a full skirt with lace edging. A cathedral length veil completed the look. The bridesmaids wore soft blue strapless gowns with defined waists. Jon was handsome in a grey tuxedo with white shirt, silver patterned tie and a white rose in his lapel. His groomsmen also wore grey tuxedos but had pale blue ties instead of silver.
During the ceremony the couple lit a memory candle and took communion. A scripture was read but the officiant kept things light when he said “for better or whatever,” instead of “for better or worse.”
After the official toasts, the microphone was opened up for guests to come up and share a story or wish the newlyweds well. The couple’s first dance was to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran followed by the father & daughter dance to My Girl.
Dessert was a wedding cake of four tiers of cake covered with ruffled buttercream frosting and fresh pink and white roses and hyacinths on the first and second tiers. The cake topper was a groom carrying his bride in his arms.
Congratulations Ashley and Jon. May the beauty you have experienced in life only grow now that you are married. We wish you the best.
