Becky & Matt ~ August 8, 2015

MATT + BECKY - First Look & Romantics-1016

Becky and Matt were married by a close family friend August 8, 2015. The officiant spoke of how love is shared through marriage with the actions of standing up for one another and loving one another. Becky and Matt then exchanged personal vows and wedding rings because rings ‘have no beginnings and no end.”

In dress, the couple complimented one another with the groom and his groomsmen in champagne colored tuxedos with vests, white shirts and pink ties while Becky wore one wedding gown for the ceremony before changing into a second gown for the reception. The first was fitted through the bodice with beaded detailing, sheer beaded straps and a full silk skirt. A cathedral length veil finished the look. For the reception she changed into a fitted gown with a silver crystal belt and mermaid flair. Her bridesmaids wore silver gowns with rouching across the bodice. They all carried bouquets of roses accented with eucalyptus leaves and berries.

Throughout the ceremony and reception the couple used quotes to express their love. As guests arrived they were advised The bride is a perfectionist. The groom has OCD. So sit on either side for perfect symmetry. On the couple’s table during the reception, a gold frame in front of Matt’s place said He’s the half part of blessed man, left to be finished by such as she and in front of Becky’s place the rest of the quote, And she, a fair divided excellence whose fullness of perfection lies in him. Lest the feeling for the day become too serious, there was a baby in a carriage with a sign on back reading Don’t worry ladies, I’m still single.

During the reception the newlyweds drank from champagne glasses with gold butterflies on the rim as their nearest and dearest toasted them. Becky surprised Matt with a groom’s cake of a book by Plato with a fondant bookmark on it with emblems of the schools the groom attended. Their traditional wedding cake was three tiers of round chocolate cake covered in buttercream frosting. Gold lace embellished the top and bottom tiers while the middle tier was finished with a William Shakespeare quote in gold script My bounty is boundless as the sea, my love as deep; the more I give to thee the more I have, for both are infinite. Fondant flowers finished the cake.
