The classic color scheme of black, red and white was chosen to highlight Brandy and Luis’ wedding day, August 23, 2014. The couple originally met in grade school allowing the couple to be a part of one another’s growing up. Their wedding day celebrated two friends who had known each other a lifetime already.
A Cinderella theme tied the wedding together from the welcome table where a pumpkin carriage led by white horses added decoration as guests signed in, to the wedding cake, which offered four tiers of carrot cake with almond frosting. Each tier was wrapped with a crystal ribbon. Atop the cake was a lit castle with a glass slipper underneath.
For the celebratory day, Brandy wore a gown with lace straps and a beaded bodice that twinkled in the light. The full skirt was finished with crinoline. A diamond tiara, pearl necklace and earrings accessorized the outfit along with a veil. Her bouquet of red roses boasted a crystal in the center of each rose. Brandy’s bridesmaids wore red floor-length gowns with red rose bouquets with feathers in them. The maid of honor stood out with a dress style different than the bridesmaids. Luis wore a black tuxedo with black shirt, tie, vest and bowtie, while his groomsmen wore black tuxedos with white shirts and red ties.
Before the ceremony, Brandy and her bridesmaids gathered together to say a prayer. Marking the beginning of the ceremony, the ring bearers walked down the aisle carrying a sign reading Tio Luis, Here Comes Your Bride. Brandy was the center of attention as she made her way down the aisle to her groom. For the ceremony, the Brandy and Luis exchanged very personal, sincere and funny vows.
During the reception, the best man talked of how Luis has been a changed man since he and Brandy started dating. The maid of honor mentioned that Luis had always been ‘the one.’ On each table, a thank you to family and friends was set, along with the menu, thanking everyone for their support and encouragement.
Congratulations Brandy and Luis. May your lives together be rich with love. We wish you the best.
