A COVID- Friendly Fairytale Wedding
Many couples had their wedding plans derailed when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. But if you ask us, there’s nothing better than a couple who can roll with the punches — and Britney and Zach certainly knew how to make the most of their special day, even in the midst of a pandemic.
Britney (our former Office Manager) and Zach took special care to make their wedding safe for all their loved ones, turning their Disney-inspired soiree into a “mask-querade.” The wedding was classically beautiful, with a jewel-toned color scheme of navy blue and burgundy. Even our bride sported a little color, with a blush-tinted ball gown covered in sparkles and lace. She looked like a fairy tale princess coming down the aisle — and the big smile on Zach’s face made it clear that he agreed!
The ceremony started with a quick note from the officiant, reminding guests to keep their masks on throughout the wedding. Then, it was time to wed the two lovebirds properly; the couple exchanged rings and vows they’d written themselves before sealing their union with a kiss. It was a beautiful ceremony that showed everyone just how in love these two are.
After the wedding, everyone moved indoors for dinner and dancing. Guests received masks and hand sanitizer as their wedding favors — which was great for preparing their hands for dinner. The reception meal was a spring mix salad with baby spinach, fresh green beans, creamy mashed potatoes, and an entree of either flat iron steak and grilled chicken breast.
The evening was filled with dancing, laughter, and fun games like the shoe game and a (socially distant) garter and bouquet toss. The Disney details on the wedding cake and decor were a nod to things the couple both love — and the COVID-19 references both kept everyone safe and reminded us of this unique time. But pandemic or no pandemic, we are certain that Mr. and Mrs. Robbins will be in love and living their best life together for years to come.
