Britni and Justin were married on Sunday, July 17, 2016.
The bride donned a Symphony Bridal gown with a silver encrusted bodice, dropped waistline, and a sweetheart neckline. The satin ballgown skirt was completed with an elbow veil. Her six bridesmaids modeled semi-sweetheart sheath gowns in soft pink. Each member of the bridal party held posy-tied bouquets of light pink roses and white hydrangea.
Justin sported a black suit with a white vest, shirt, and necktie – complete with a white hydrangea on his lapel. His groomsmen modeled gray, three-piece suits with soft pink neckties.
During the indoor ceremony, two young ring bearers pulled Britni and Justin’s infant son down the aisle in a wagon. The officiant was the groom’s father, who said accepting an outstretched hand is not a failure but instead a loving yes to letting others help you. He also had personal letters Britni and Justin wrote to each other a year before, as they have been legally married since July 17, 2015.
Dinner started with Caesar salad, followed by grilled vegetables and veggie ravioli, plus chicken Galliano and beef tenderloin. The three-tiered cake was red velvet and vanilla in flavor. The bottom layer resembled pink roses, while the top two white fondant layers were adorned in silver rhinestone ribbon. A bedazzled Mr. & Mrs. cake topper crowned the dessert. There was also a cookie bar with a sign encouraging guests to take a treat.
During toasts, the Best Man, also Justin’s older brother, talked about how much he can see their love grow. The Matron of Honor talked about being friends with Britni for over 20 years, and how they were on the cheer team together. The Grandfather of the Bride talked about how much he cares for Britni, and how blessed he felt to walk her down the aisle. Britni and Justin also said a few words to their guests.
Britni and Justin’s First Dance was to Dan + Shay’s “From The Ground Up.” The Grandfather/Granddaughter Dance was to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland, the Mother/Daughter Dance was to “Mama’s Song” by Carrie Underwood, and the Mother/Son Dance was to a medley of hip hop songs followed by a slow song.
Britni and Justin had customized koozies for their guests, and baby-picture slideshows of the bride and groom also played during the reception. The couple left under the sparkler farewell, and we wish them all the best.
