Camille & Patrick ~ May 9, 2013

One of our very own event coordinators, Camille, was married here at Villa Siena. We are so grateful she is able to share her story of her wedding day!

“I was married at Villa Siena on May 9, 2013 to the man of my dreams.  We had met a year before when he was contracted to do some renovation work where I was working at the time.  There were instant sparks and we fell madly in love.  We soon realized that our love was strong enough to last a lifetime.  We decided upon a very short engagement, which was less than 6 weeks! After a whirlwind of planning our day couldn’t have come together more perfectly!

I have been coordinating weddings for over eight years and have seen hundreds of brides get married, so what surprised me the most on my own wedding day was how nervous I felt.  I arrived at Villa Siena with my darling ten year old daughter who helped me get dressed in Villa Siena’s stunning bridal suite ~  The bridal suite where I have helped so many brides steam their gowns, bustle their trains, take deep soothing breaths…. and now it was my turn!

We decided we wanted a first look prior to the ceremony.  I came out the main front doors of Villa Siena where Patrick was standing with his back toward me, I then tapped him on the shoulder; the way he looked at me was priceless.  So much love and devotion filled his eyes. It was a look I know I’ll never forget.

Although many of our ceremonies take place outside, I chose Chianciano for an indoor ceremony at Villa Siena.  The dimly lit fireplace, illuminating candles, ivory petals down the aisle, all created the perfect backdrop for our nuptials. We each opted to write our own vows to each other.  I started my vows with one of my favorite William Shakespeare quotes, “When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew.” We kept our ceremony short and sweet as not to delay our joining as man and wife.

Our guests were directed for a heavy cocktail hour in our Toscana Courtyard.  I chose bright garden flowers and an orange shantung linen to bring brightness.  Magic Touch Catering created several stations of delicious appetizers for my guests to enjoy.  The sliders were the crowd pleasers; I still have guests talking about them.

I loved cutting into the gorgeous cake Piece of Cake Desserts made for me, an exact replica of the picture I had sent to them.  It was absolutely stunning and was four tiers of pure yumminess to bout!!

Anyone who knows me well knows I LOVE to dance, as does my Patrick! I knew that dancing would be the best part of my night and it was thanks to Matt Mancini with Mancini Entertainment it was.  He kept the dance floor packed and played all of my favorite dance songs.

My wedding day could not have been more perfect.  I am so grateful to Troy Brinkerhoff for the amazing pictures that I will treasure for my entire life.”

Congratulations Camille! We wish you and Patrick the happiest future together!
