February 7, 2013 Candace and Mark joined at Villa Siena for their wedding ceremony and reception. The couple filled the day with a shared sense of love and laughter. For the ceremony, Mark wore a grey tuxedo with satin piping, a white shirt and white tie. His bride became the center of attention as she walked down the aisle in a fitted strapless gown with lace edging. The bodice of the dress had lace detailing with a belt. Candace wore her hair down for the ceremony adorned by a veil. The bridal bouquet was filled with purple calla lilies surrounded by greenery. This combination of flowers offered a wild touch to the look. During the ceremony, the couple gave their answers to ‘what is love?’ Certainly this is not an easy question to answer in words alone.
The couple had a large bridal party with seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen. The bridesmaids wore black fitted dresses that ended at the knee. The groomsmen wore grey tuxedos with black vests, shirts and ties. After the ceremony the groomsmen made themselves more comfortable in brand new blue Vans sneakers, which were a gift from the groom.
As guests entered the reception, a welcome table reminded them of Corinthians 13:13 – that of faith, hope and love, the greatest of these is love.
To honor the bride, the bride’s sister and father gave speeches at the reception. Candace and Mark celebrated their first dance as husband and wife to My Everything.
After dinner, guests were treated to a three-tiered cake with embroidered detailing. Gold ribbon wrapped each layer, while fresh flowers adorned the cake. On the cake table were pictures of the couple’s relatives at their own weddings.
Congratulations Candace and Mark. May your experience of love continue to grow and expand with each passing year. We wish you the best!
