Jermaine and Catia, who met at work, became man and wife on April 15, 2018
Catia looked elegant in a strapless fit-and-flare trumpet gown, with a sweetheart neckline and an embellished bodice. Her accessories included strappy silver heels, a pendant necklace, drop earrings, and a long veil. Her cascade-style bouquet included flowers in shades of pink and purple. Her three bridesmaids wore pale pink off-the-shoulder full-length dresses. They carried small bouquets of pale pink flowers accented with greenery.
Jermaine got married in a blue suit with a white shirt, white patterned tie, patterned pocket square, and mini bouquet boutonniere. His three groomsmen wore gray suits with gray vests, white shirts, lavender bow ties, pale pink pocket squares, and white flower boutonnieres.
Ceremony
In the ceremony, Catia and Jermaine performed a sand ceremony with their mothers to symbolize the joining of their lives. The couple also took Communion with their parents.
Reception
At the reception, guests enjoyed a meal of Caesar salad, Napa Valley salad, rustica pasta, pasta with mushroom and asparagus, chicken Parmesan, and bread.
During the speeches, the maid of honor talked about Catia laughed and smiled differently after she met Jermaine. The best man joked that he wouldn’t tell stories about Jermaine because the groom knows just as many about him. Catia’s young daughter said how glad she was that her mother found Jermaine.
Catia and Jermaine shared their first dance to “I Like” by Guy. Catia and her father danced to “My Girl” by The Temptations. Jermaine and his mother danced to “A Song for Mama” by Boyz II Men.
The three-tier wedding cake had a square bottom and top in white with baby blue piping, and a blue middle tier. The topper read “Happily Ever After.”
