Chelsea & Nick ~ January 21, 2016

Indoor-Wedding-Ceremony (20)Chelsea and Nick were introduced through mutual friends in high school. And though they never spoke until after graduation, but were still married on Thursday, January 21, 2016.

Chelsea modeled a David’s Bridal ball gown – complete with long train, silver embroidery, and semi-sweetheart neckline. Her three bridesmaids donned floor-length black gowns, also with semi-sweetheart necklines. The bride held a bouquet of white roses, while the bridal party held a single, blossoming white rose with an elongated stem.

Nick sported a solid black suit with white shirt and black necktie – embellished with a white pocket square and white rose pinned to his lapel. His three groomsmen were dressed in black suits, shirts, and tie – also accented with a white rose on their lapels.

During the indoor ceremony, grandma was the flower girl, while grandpa was the ring bearer. The officiant read “Promise to Love You” by Dorothea. The ceremony recalled Chelsea and Nick’s relationship, how Nick helped Chelsea through some tough health issues, and how they like to play board games together. They also had a wine ceremony, mixing white wine for the bride and red wine for the groom, to create a unique blush wine.

A buffer dinner followed, featuring garden fresh salads, Asiago chicken, vegetable lasagna rolls, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The elegant, black and white wedding cake was three squared tiers, topped with a clear square adorned with “Mr. & Mrs.” in black cursive.

During toasts, the Best Man Robert explained how Chelsea and Nick have a perfect relationship, and the Maid of Honor Celeste also expressed her sentiments. The groom then spoke, thanking Chelsea for all the work she put into the wedding, and how proud he was of her.

The first dance for Chelsea and Nick was to “Put Your Head On My Shoulder” by Michael Bublé. The Father/Daughter Dance was to “Walk With You” by Edwin McCain, and the Mother/Son Dance was to “Songbird” by Eva Cassidy.

The reception also featured plenty of DIY candleholders and centerpieces, and the Newlywed Game. There was also a Memorial Table set up to commemorate loved ones who have passed and couldn’t share in Chelsea and Nick’s wedding day.

Chelsea and Nick left under the traditional sparkler farewell with thoughts of their upcoming Hawaii honeymoon. Best wishes to the new couple.
