Chenin and Brandon met at Famous Dave’s. Chenin was supposed to be training Brandon, but Brandon was spending all his time using his best pick-up lines on her. His lines must have been good because they worked. The couple married November 5, 2015. The wedding featured on a Batman theme with the father of the bride wearing a Batman cape half way down the aisle, the wedding cake decorated half as a Batman cake and half as a wedding dress, and during the reception, the batman symbol shone on the wall along with the couple’s name and date of marriage. The theme even continued to the bride’s shoes, which were hand colored with Batman symbols, wine grapes and an ‘I Do.’
Their ceremony was a little more traditional and included the lighting of a unity candle and a sand ceremony. The couple added their own style to the wedding with the bride in a lace bodice ball gown with tulle skirt and lace appliques while the groom wore a fedora with his black tuxedo, white vest and tie and black shirt. The bridesmaids wore lilac lace halter dresses.
The couple’s first dance was to Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden followed by the father & daughter dance to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion and finishing with the mother & son dance to Zoe’s Song.
Favors were etched wine glasses, and the couple’s love of wine was obvious through the handmade decorations such as the couple’s monogram made of wine corks on the altar and hearts shaped from wine corks hanging off the end of the aisle chairs. Another personalized touch included having the guests engrave a message to the bride and groom on a glass table.
The night ended with a signature sparkler farewell. Congratulations Chenin and Brandon. “I think you and I are destined to do this forever,” –the Joker. May your love be destined to last forever. We wish you the best.
