There was something special in the air on the day of Colette and Brent’s March wedding — possibly because they got married only a week into the start of spring!
The couple chose a classy white color palette for their special day. Our Plaza Toscana was decorated with white roses and hydrangeas, along with a white aisle runner that completed the elegant look. Of course, white wasn’t the ONLY hue in the picture; the floral arrangements were lush with rich greenery, and the bridal party sported shades of blue.
The bridesmaids (a daughter of the bride and a daughter of the groom) each looked lovely in their baby blue dresses, while Brent and his best man (his son) looked sharp in their navy suits and baby blue ties. The bride was a vision in her mermaid-style gown, which featured a sweetheart neckline and sparkly appliques along the bodice. As she walked down the aisle (accompanied by a string quartet), there was no doubt that she was the most beautiful woman in the Plaza.
The ceremony was traditional and sweet, officiated by the couple’s pastor. In addition to their vows, the couple signed their marriage license and participated in a “sand ceremony,” which symbolized their two families coming together as one. Then, it was time to kiss the bride and start the party!
The reception kicked off with the couple’s first dance — a country swing dance to Keith Urban’s “You’re Everything.” Guests mingled before sitting down to the wedding feast: mixed green salad, grilled salmon with hollandaise sauce and lemon dill beurre blanc, sauteed chicken breast in a mushroom and marsala wine reduction, twice baked potatoes, and grilled veggies.
The night was filled with dancing, laughter, and love — the way all weddings should be. It was clear that the new Mr. and Mrs. Jarles (and their children) were starting a new and beautiful chapter in their lives.
