Courtlyn & Dean ~ February 24, 2012

One can only imagine how surprised Courtlyn must have been when she opened up a fortune cookie one day to read “The one you love is closer than you think” on one side and “Will You Marry Me?” on the other.  It only took one word, “yes”, to send Courtlyn and Dean on their way to their wedding day on February 24, 2012.  This Friday afternoon was beautiful in so many ways.   Courtlyn & Dean’s attendants arrived separately in red trolley busses, looking stunning if navy chiffon gowns and charcoal tuxes!   Courtlyn‘s choice of a blue, purple, and green color scheme made the geraniums, carnations, and rich purple bellflowers perfect in the arrangements and in the bridesmaids bouquets.  Christian, Courtlyn’s son, was encouraged to walk down the candlelit aisle as the ring bearer by his loving Grandpa who had told Christian that after walking down the aisle he was “destined to be famous!”    Needless to say, Christian was ready to go when it was time.   After a romantic ceremony officiated by June Laraway, a family friend, the guests were seated in the ballroom and encouraged Courtlyn and Dean on their first dance to “You are the best thing” by Ray LaMontagne.   Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Courtlyn and Dean created their own buffet of cookies, brownies, cheesecake, and mini candy bars!  How could anyone resist those tempting treats?  The night was wrapped up with dance floor full of glow sticks and a sparkler send off.  All the best wishes to Courtlyn and Dean as they embark on their lifelong journey together!
