Courtney and Paul met at the Moonshine Country Bar on Mill Ave. Three months later Paul proposed to her at a family dinner. October 17, 2014 they were married. At the ceremony the officiant recounted the story of how they met, their first date and more for family and friends. Courtney’s daughter walked Paul down the aisle and was given her own color sand to pour during the sand ceremony. The day was made even more exciting when the couple opened a box that released blue balloons to signify that would soon be having a little baby boy! The groom’s smile said all that needed to be said.
For the wedding day, Courtney looked like Cinderella in a corseted gown that laced up the back. The bodice was embroidered across the top with a layered skirt. Her hair was worn in a half up-do with a diamond necklace to accent the look and sparkled just a little more than her open-toed glittery silver heels. Her bouquet combined purple, orange and yellow billie balls, dahlias and purple carnations. At her side during the day were her bridesmaids in satin dresses of different colors. Two were in orange, two in violet and one in ivory. The groomsmen matched the color scheme with vests in the same colors while Paul chose a black tuxedo with white tie and vest.
After the ceremony, the best man lightened up the speeches with lots of jokes, while one of his groomsmen said he couldn’t think of a better person to give his best friend to. The maid of honor and Courtney’s best friend since kindergarten told Paul and Courtney they are soul mates. The mother of the bride mentioned how Courtney was the last of her children to be married an only wished her mom could be there to share in the moment.
The couple’s first dance was to I Cross My Heart by George Strait followed by the father and daughter dance to Stealing Cinderella by Chuck Wicks.
Favors were coasters stamped with Eat, drink and be married with the couple’s name and date of marriage. The wedding cake was a four-tiered white cake with piping detail on every tier. Purple fondant flowers, the couple’s initials and crystal ribbon finished the cake.
Congratulations Courtney and Paul. May your growing family give you all the love and joy that you deserve. We wish you the best.
