Debbie and Alex met at a musical performance by Alex’s son, and were married on February 3, 2017.
Debbie looked gorgeous in an off-the-shoulder white lace gown with beaded accents on the bodice. To complete the ensemble, she added a cathedral-length veil with lace details. Her cascade-style bouquet was composed of lilies, roses, and tropical blooms in tones of white and blue. Her bridesmaids were her daughter and stepdaughter, who looked lovely in royal blue dresses and carried blue and white bouquets.
Alex wore a traditional tuxedo with a black bow tie and boutonniere with a white rose and a small blue flower accent. His groomsmen were his two sons, who wore black suits, gray and black striped ties, and boutonnieres to match their father’s.
The ceremony included a number of special touches: The bride and groom wrote their own vows, they gave white roses to his mother and her mother, and they placed a bottle of wine and letters to each other in a box to be opened at a later date.
Guests enjoyed a meal of caprese salad, filet mignon, herbed chicken breast, creamy mashed potatoes and fresh green beans.
During the toasts, one of Alex’s sons talked about his love for Alex and Debbie, and shared how glad he is that his new stepmother makes his father so happy.
Alex and Debbie stepped onto the dance floor for the first time as a married couple to “From This Moment,” by Shania Twain. Debbie and her father danced “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw.
The three-tiered wedding cake featured white-on-white with white ribbon and floral accents. It was topped with the couple’s initials.
We wish Debbie and Alex a long and happy marriage!
