Dominique and Cody will be making beautiful music together for the rest of their lives; they were married on January 19, 2021, the 10th anniversary of the day they met in marching band.
Dominique wore a romantic off-the-shoulder fit-and-flare gown with a sweetheart neckline, jeweled belt detail, and lace skirt with a train. Her accessories included a pendant necklace, drop earrings, and a full-length veil. Her bouquet incorporated roses, tulips, and peonies in shades of red, pink, and white with a variety of greenery. Her five bridesmaids wore individual gowns in coordinating shades of purple and pink. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Cody looked handsome in a white tuxedo with a white vest, white shirt, burgundy bow tie, burgundy pocket square, and white rose boutonniere. His four groomsmen wore gray tuxedos with gray vests, white shirts, pink bow ties, pocket squares, and ivory rose boutonnieres.
In the outdoor ceremony, the officiant advised the newlyweds to laugh with, work with, and educate each other, and never forget that they are partners.
Next guests enjoyed a buffet-style Italian meal that included a Caesar salad plus two pasta options and two chicken dishes. In lieu of a guest book, attendees signed two bottles of Champagne for the newlyweds.
In the toasts, Cody’s best man, his brother, reminisced about when they were growing up and wished the couple luck on the next chapter of their lives. The maid of honor, the bride’s cousin, spoke about how they were more like sisters than cousins. Dominique’s father joked about how protective he was of his daughter the first time he met Cody, and talked about what she was like growing up.
Dominique and Cody’s first dance was to “Baby Blue Eyes.” Dominique and her father shared a special dance. Cody and his mother had a dance together, too, during which they were joined by his brothers.
The three-tier wedding cake had a bottom layer done with a rose ombre design. The middle and top tiers were blush pink with a white rose design. The cake was topped with white roses.
Cody and Dominique left their special day under the signature sparkler send-off.
We wish the newlyweds all the happiness in the world!
