A mutual friend introduced Elizabeth and Joel to one another. The connection grew until Joel proposed. They sanctified their marriage with a bilingual ceremony in English and Spanish on November 28, 2013 (Thanksgiving day) at Villa Siena. The wedding aisle was decorated with pictures of the bride and groom growing up.
Elizabeth wore her hair curled. Her wedding gown was strapless with detailing across the top edge and rouching across the skirt that flowed into lace and tulle. The bridal bouquet was bright with yellow and white flowers, bringing a spring feel to their fall wedding. The groom wore a black tuxedo with white shirt and tie. A unity candle was lit and a sand ceremony included the couple’s two children.
At the reception, the couple sat at a sweetheart table and their name was lit up on the wall. Black tablecloths created a classic feel at the reception, adorned with vases that contained very little water and standing red orchids.
The couple’s first dance was choreographed to A Thousand Years by Christina Perry. The first dance was followed by the father/daughter dance to I Won’t Give Up. Afterwards Joel danced with his daughter to Daughters.
The wedding cake was a four-tiered affair covered in edible pearls. A silver wedding ring served as a topper.
The speeches included welcoming the bride and groom to their new families. The Maid of Honor spoke of how she had never seen Liz so happy in her life. Karina spoke of Joe’s support for his new wife and how he keeps her grounded.
Congratulations Elizabeth and Joel. May your lives together become richer and more filled with love each and every day. We wish you the best.
