Elizabeth and Alexander were married in a Christmas-themed wedding on December 29, 2018.
Elizabeth chose a romantic A-line gown with full-length lace sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, and lace bodice. She accessorized with pearl earrings, a pearl necklace, a jeweled bracelet, and a full-length veil trimmed in lace. Her large bouquet was composed of red, pink, and white flowers with botanical accents. Her three bridesmaids wore individual full-length dresses in coordinating deep red tones. They carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Alexander looked sharp in a three-piece gray suit with a gray vest, white shirt, red tie, burgundy pocket square, and red and white flower boutonniere. His four groomsmen wore gray suits with white shirts, red ties, individual pocket squares, and red and white flower boutonnieres.
A string quartet played during the traditional religious ceremony, in which the father of the bride read a passage from the Bible.
Later, guests dined on classic Caesar salad, sliced beef tenderloin, grilled Tuscan chicken, mixed grilled vegetables, and twice-baked potatoes. In keeping with the Christmas theme, guests were offered hot chocolate, and Christmas ornaments were the wedding favors.
During the speeches, the maid of honor, who has been friends with the bride since they were 6 years old, told a story about how the bride used to have doll with the same kind of wedding dress as she wore. The best man spoke about how Elizabeth makes Alexander the best version of himself, and that their love is the gold standard for relationships.
Alexander and Elizabeth danced together for the first time as man and wife to “Glow” by Brett Eldredge. Elizabeth and her father danced to “Heart of Gold” by Neil Diamond. Alexander and his mother danced to “It Happens in a Heartbeat” by Reba McEntire.
The three-tier wedding cake had a different white-on-white design for each layer. It was decorated with red and pink flowers.
We wish the happy couple all the best in their new marriage!
