Emily and Eddie’s Boho-Chic Wedding
When Emily and Eddie got married this past April, they opted for a boho-inspired wedding that was gorgeous in every detail. And we at the Villa were happy to give them the special day they’d be dreaming of!
The couple chose a color palette of green and earth tones, accented with stunning white tulips, roses, and hydrangeas. This color scheme was a perfect fit for the Villa Siena, as our venue already features many of the hues the couple was looking for!
The wedding party was dressed to suit the theme. The bridesmaids wore beige, off-the-shoulder dresses with ruffles along the neckline. Eddie and his groomsmen wowed in forest green suits and beige ties. And as for our bride, Emily was stunning in her mermaid-style gown! The dress featured a v-neckline and delicate lace detailing that looked like she was covered in roses. And once she added her long veil, she looked like something out of a fairytale.
A friend of the couple performed the wedding, adding a personal touch to a traditional ceremony. Emily and Eddie exchanged vows and rings, and before long, it was time to introduce Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt to the world! Everyone was cheering and celebrating as they walked up the aisle — but the party was just beginning.
Next, everyone headed inside for dinner and dancing. The newlyweds kicked off the celebration with a dance to “Don’t Worry Baby” by the Beach Boys. Then, Eddie danced with his mother to Phil Collins’s “You’ll be in my Heart,” and Emily danced with her stepfather to “Stand by Me.”
After the first dances, guests took their seats and prepared for a delicious meal. There was caesar salad, potatoes au gratin, penne pasta with vodka sauce and roasted red peppers, braised beef short ribs with veggies, and grilled chicken breast with a garlic and herb glaze. Everyone enjoyed their meal and then spent the rest of the evening burning off those calories on the dance floor or posing in the photo booth. For drinks, the couple offered an IPA, Jack and Coke, and a Moscow Mule — all of which were renamed for Eddie and Emily’s dogs.
Emily and Eddie’s wedding was a beautiful day, and we know that they loved every moment, from the first look to the sparkler exit!
