Erica & Darren ~ October 23, 2015

Erica and Darren went to high school together. After school they drifted apart but later reconnected through Facebook. The couple dated for six months before they got engaged. The wedding ceremony took place October 23, 2015, eighteen months after the engagement. The couple chose a vintage wedding theme with shades of pink, blush, and ivory used as accents throughout the day. The sign welcoming guests read With heartfelt delight we welcome you to the best day ever.

The wedding itself was short and sweet with a prayer before the vows and vows that spoke of a pure and endless devotion to one another. Erica’s wedding gown was designed by Essence of Australia, and featured cap sleeves with a diamond belt and A-line skirt and a train. Her bouquet was filled with blush and white roses.

The bridesmaids picked their own style of blush colored dresses while the flower girls were dressed in vintage style matching gowns with ruffles down the front. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos and vests with black sneakers while the groom wore a white vest, shirt and tie.

For their first dance, the couple chose Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts followed by the father & daughter dance to I Loved Her First by Heartland and the mother & son dance to Never Alone by Lady Antebellum.

On each table was a personalized thank-you sign. Guests were invited to remember the night with a photo booth. During speeches the best man complimented the groom’s mother before telling a few embarrassing stories about the groom. The two friends have known each other for ten years. The maid of honor talked of how Erica was her only friend to make the effort to visit her when she was living in San Francisco. Erica’s father filled his speech with wit, talking about how he loved Costco but didn’t’ expect to find a son-in-law there! The bride and groom thanked everyone for coming before raising their glasses and inviting everyone to drink.

The wedding cake was a three-tier round cake with rose detail on the bottom tier that swept diagonally up the cake. Even more sweet treats were served at a candy bar. The night ended with a signature sparkler farewell. Congratulations Erica & Darren. May the love you feel for one another continue to grow throughout the years. We wish you the best.
