October 16, 2014 Erica and Lukas were married at Villa Siena. The couple met through mutual friends. Their first date was putt-putt golfing followed by their first kiss at a Kelly Clarkson concert. To commemorate the important dates in their relationship, at their wedding, the couple had a chalkboard with the dates of their first kiss, their first date, the first dance, the proposal and their honeymoon.

Before the ceremony the couple held hands, each on one side of a door, sharing a private moment, but keeping with tradition of not seeing one another before their walk down the aisle. For the ceremony the fireplace mantel held pictures of the couple’s grandparents on their wedding days. The ceremony included various passages from the bible as well as the couple reciting traditional vows along with personalized vows.

Erica was stunning in a fitted lace gown with mermaid flair and beaded detailing across the bodice. The back of the gown was accented with a keyhole opening and cap sleeves. Her cathedral length veil was finished with lace edging. On the bottom of her shoes, in crystal, was Mrs.  and est. 10/16/2014. Instead of a traditional bouquet, the bride carried a bouquet of feathers. The bouquet was wrapped with crystal ribbon with a miniature framed picture of her parents. Her bridesmaids wore dusty rose-colored dresses with flowing skirts and detailed busts with their hair swept to one side. For his wedding day Lukas chose a grey tuxedo with grey vest. The groomsmen also had grey tuxedos and vests but wore white ties whereas the groom wore a grey tie. The ring bearer started the wedding with a sign saying Uncle Luke, Here Comes the Love of Your Life.

After the ceremony a mariachi band played during cocktail hour. A cigar bar was set up, as were pub snacks for the guests to enjoy after dinner.

The wedding cake was a three-tiered cake with a monogrammed third tier, middle tier with floral design and top tier with a decorative pearl design. Gum paste flower embellishments completed the design. Inside vanilla and red velvet cakes tantalized the taste buds. For those craving more sweets, biscotti and sweets platters were also served.

For the couple’s first dance they chose Yours Forever by Dara Maclean followed by the father and daughter dance to I Loved Her First by Heartland and the mother and son dance to The Wonder of You by Elvis Presley.

The couple’s name and date of marriage was lit up on the wall during the reception. Erica and Lukas had a couple’s table with ‘Mr. & Mrs.’ in crystals as a table topper. Instead of a traditional bouquet toss, the groom threw a 49ers football instead. Favors were bottle openers in the shape of an “&”. Congratulations Erica and Lucas. May the beautiful moments in your life keep accumulating. We wish you the best.
