Matthew and Evelyn, who met when they were teenagers and reconnected later in life, became man and wife on November 25, 2017.
Evelyn selected a romantic lace sheath gown with elbow-length lace illusion sleeves, an illusion back, and a train. Her accessories included a hip-length veil. Her bouquet included a variety of burgundy-colored flowers with botanical accents. Her bridesmaids wore coordinating navy blue dresses and carried bouquets of white and red flowers.
Matthew got married in a three-piece navy blue suit with a burgundy shirt, a navy blue tie, and a burgundy flower boutonniere. His groomsmen wore black suits with black shirts, black ties, and red flower boutonnieres.
In the ceremony, the couple braided a cord of three strands, lit a unity candle to signify their new marriage, and performed a wine box ceremony.
During the reception, guests enjoyed a meal of chicken with mushrooms, beef with gravy, pesto angel hair pasta, and Southwest salad. There was also Chick-Fil-A and Edible Arrangements fruit towers. The wedding favors were wine glasses filled with candy.
Several people gave toasts, including the maid of honor, a friend of the groom, and the bride and groom themselves.
Evelyn and Matthew danced for the first time as a married couple to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.
The wedding cake had a navy blue top tier. There were red velvet and chocolate raspberry cupcakes for the guests.
We wish the newlyweds all the love and joy in the world!
