July 20, 2013 Gabrielle and Matt celebrated their wedding ceremony and reception at Villa Siena. The couple met on Match.com the day Matt closed on his new house. He proposed to her on Mt. Lemon, the place where they took their first hike together.
Guests were treated to a retelling of how they met and how the couple’s relationship developed during the ceremony. Then the couple lit a unity candle wrapped in black ribbon with crystal detailing. But the ceremony wasn’t completely serious. Adam Sandler was quoted in his role as the Wedding Singer during the ceremony.
Matt was a handsome groom in a black tuxedo with white tie, shirt and vest. The groomsmen, working with the black and white color scheme of the wedding, wore black vests and striped ties. Bridesmaids wore black above-the-knee strapless dresses, while Gabrielle was stunning in a mermaid-style dress. The dress had a sheer beaded neckline and straps with a beaded belt and tulle skirt. A tiara held her veil in place over an up-do. The bride’s bouquet was pink and white.
The couple personalized the wedding with pictures of themselves on one table and pictures and a short biography of the wedding party on a board. During the reception the couple’s name and date of wedding shone on the wall. A note to friends and family welcomed guests as they found their seat assignments.
After the bride and groom were complimented on their kindness and generosity during speeches, the couple took to the dance floor where Wanted by Hunter Hayes played. Gabrielle chose I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack followed by the mother/son dance to My Wish by Rascall Flatts.
Guests joined in the dancing afterwards. The night ended with a traditional sparkler farewell. Congratulations Gabrielle and Matt. May you create amazing new memories each day of your lives together.
