Hailey’s friends had to convince her to get an Instagram account. Signing up was one of the best decisions of her life! Through mutual friends she found her husband-to-be Ian. The couple married June 5, 2014.
The welcome table had a box for cards and framed pictures of the couple’s relatives. Before the ceremony the bride and groom read letters they had written to each other. While they were blocked from seeing each other by a door, their emotion was apparent.
For her wedding day, Hailey wore a Mori Lee bridal gown. The strapless lace affair was fitted with a mermaid flair. The gown finished in a V in the back with a train. Hailey wore her hair up with diamond drop earrings and a veil edged in beaded detailing. The bridal bouquet was filled with roses, peonies and hydrangeas with greenery. Surrounded by her bridesmaids in individual styles of light pink dresses, the bride had her closes friends and family with her. Each of the bridesmaids carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet. For his wedding day, Ian wore a black tuxedo with black bowtie as did his groomsmen, with one exception who wore his military uniform.
Guests were given fans for the ceremony. Delicate bouquets of flowers lined the altar with candles glowing amongst them. The bride was walked to her groom by both her mother and father. The groom’s father served as officiant for the couple and his happiness at the occasion couldn’t be contained.
The reception was held in the Chianciano Room where a slideshow of the couple played. Speeches were given by the maid of honor and best man who both expressed their love for the couple.
The newlyweds’ first dance was to Lee Brice’s I Don’t Dance followed by the mother/son dance.
The couple stole the sweetest moments of the day, but the wedding cake served a second best. The three-tiered cake had an antique feel with the top tier decorated with ivory pearls and pink fondant flowers. The middle layer was wrapped in white lace while the bottom layer was filled with dusty pink roses.
