For a beautiful start to the New Year, Heidi and James were married January 4, 2015. The couple met through a friend of a friend on Facebook. Heidi was a radiant bride wearing an Uptown Bridal gown with a custom diamond belt sewn on. The gown featured rouching across the bodice and a mermaid flair. A veil with beaded edging complimented the bride’s partial up-do. The bridal bouquet brought together white and lavender roses with purple calla lilies. James, who was overcome with emotion at seeing his bride in her wedding dress, wore a black tuxedo with purple vest, white shirt and purple bowtie. A midnight purple calla lily was fastened to his lapel. Bridesmaids wore violet dresses with lace necklines and sheer wraps while the groomsmen complimented them with black tuxedos with silver vests and bowties.

To begin the processional, the couple’s three girls tossed flower petals down the aisle. Afterwards Heidi was escorted down the aisle by both her mother and father. The couple’s children were brought up to stand by their parents as their role in their new family was recognized. The children also participated in the couple’s sand ceremony where they joined each of their lives together.  A family hug cemented the love between everyone. The vows ended with the couple facing towards the guests.

Before the couple made their grand entrance to the reception, the bridesmaids and groomsmen lined up on either side of the door and danced as the couple entered. Heidi and James spun their love on the dance floor to All My Life by KCi and JoJo. Afterwards Heidi’s father shared some time alone with his daughter as they danced to My Girl by the Temptations. James and his mother finished the couple dances with In My Time by Teddy Pendergrass.

Speeches included the maid of honor giving tribute to their sister who had passed away. She and the bride shared a hug afterwards. The best man thanked the bride’s parents and talked of both families coming together to create a great love. After speeches came dessert with a three-tiered chocolate wedding cake with white fondant. The square tiers were each set askew to one another. Pearl and roses accented the cake while a diamond cake topper read ‘Love’ Guests were sent home with an additional sweet treat of bags of purple and white candies.
