As of October 24, 2015 when Heidi and Trevor were married they had been dating for 2,443 days and were engaged for 729 days. The bride wore a Justin Alexander gown with beaded belt and a full skirt. The look was finished with a cathedral length veil and a bouquet of pink roses. For shoes, Heidi chose blue satin. Her bridesmaids were in floor-length pink strapless gowns with lace bodices. Trevor was dapper in a black tuxedo with a black vest, white shirt and black bowtie as were the groomsmen.
To set the stage for the ceremony, the first ring bearer and ‘security guard’ walked down the aisle with the rings in a safe and an earpiece to show how official he was. The second ring bearer carried a sign saying, Uncle Trevor here comes your girl. A unity candle was lit as part of the ceremony and for those who were overcome with emotion there were tissues with personalized wrappers: For your tears of joy, tears of laughter, tears of happily ever after. The notes of a string quartet added to the romance of the day.
After the ceremony guests were directed to gold miniature pumpkins to find out their table numbers. The pumpkins were a reminder of how the groom proposed to the bride using a pumpkin. The couple danced their first dance as husband and wife to Just The Way You Look Tonight.
As the bride and groom sat at their couple’s table with pink sequined tablecloth, the bride’s brother welcomed Trevor to the family. Afterwards the matron of honor and bride’s big sister surprised the bride with a rap to Fancy that included the bridesmaids. The reception also included a picture show that played with music during dinner and ended with a video of Trevor’s proposal to Heidi.
Other fun for the night included an activity book for kids and a photo booth with props. Dessert included the wedding cake that alternated plain fondant and textured fondant tiers in gold and blush pink. Favors were maple candy and personalized mini maple syrup jars.
Congratulations Heidi and Trevor. May your love be like a leaf that is only beginning to unfurl. We wish you the best.
